Namaste! Ciao! Aloha! — Wait…Why are we saying words that mean both goodbye and hello?

Well, because we kind of are saying goodbye and hello right now…

We’ve been working on some amazing things over the last few months and today we’re finally revealing them.

But wait just a minute!

Don’t click to the new site yet, we have a lot we want to discuss first. SummitSync has grown in ways we didn’t expect a year ago, and that’s one of the many amazing things about startups. You create, you observe, and you iterate. Over, and over, and over again.

Which is exactly the process we took when building our mobile app.

That is until we realized that we were only solving a small slice of event attendees’ problems.

The Old SummitSync

Our mission has always been focused on helping people discover, connect, and meet at conferences and events worldwide. We’ve helped thousands of people grow their personal networks, close deals, and gain new leads- which was pretty awesome! But, we were only helping really ambitious individuals who personally downloaded SummitSync to boost their number of meetings at events (and subsequently look like an all-star).

So, we spent days in tight rooms with bad lighting and heavily-used whiteboards to figure out how we could help sales and marketing teams boost their productivity while, maybe most importantly, being able to measure ROE*. (don’t worry, we’ll get to that * later)

One of the many, many whiteboard sessions. One of the many, many whiteboard sessions.

Some of the ideas were crummy, some were eh, and some were really great.

Those great ideas turned into more meetings in tight rooms with bad lighting. Which lead to meetings with other people in conference rooms, sushi bars, and good old New York delis. We sat down with some SummitSync users to listen to how they were using our app and how we could provide value across entire sales and marketing teams.

All of these ideas, meetings, and conversations led to the first version of what we were calling “OneSync Technology”.

Get it? It’s all about having one place that syncs all of your event technology. This means connecting SummitSync’s event scheduling platform to your existing CRM and marketing automation platforms.

So, our (amazing) tech team started building and building and building.

There were a lot of late nights, cups of coffee, and even more meetings in tight rooms with bad lighting.

The New SummitSync

After really digesting the larger mission we were after, the team soon realized that we didn’t just need a new website — we needed a new brand.

Manage your event contacts, send invites, and integrate SummitSync with your existing CRMs.Manage your event contacts, send invites, and integrate SummitSync with your existing CRMs.

So, while the tech team was building and the marketing team was working on the new SummitSync, we kept things quiet. Except maybe for Cannes… that wasn’t so quiet for us.

That’s why we’re so, so excited to finally announce the all-new SummitSync!

SummitSync’s new event intelligence platform helps sales and marketing teams boost their productivity to get more out of every event dollar, all while maximizing your ROE*

There’s that * again.

We should probably explain why we’re focused on ROE* now.

* Return on Events

Okay, maybe you’ve heard this term before, but, if you haven’t it’s just like ROI, but for events.

It is what actually matters when companies are spending $300B on attending and sponsoring conferences and events every year.

Which means it’s what we really focused on when designing the technology behind SummitSync’s new event intelligence platform and our brand new website.

Companies are becoming more and more data-driven. We noticed that individual events like CES or SXSW had amazing technology that helped them and the sponsors measure the ROI. This was somewhat helpful, but it left companies relying on each individual event’s technology.

Every event’s data was reported differently and gave different insights. This lead to companies developing their own creative ways of measuring ROE.

By creative ways, we really mean a mess of manual spreadsheets, calendar invites, and CRM entries.

In our past jobs, we were guilty of this too; but we are here to tell you: there is a better way.

The better way — our event intelligence platform helps sales and marketing teams boost productivity before, during, and after events. The better way — our event intelligence platform helps sales and marketing teams boost productivity before, during, and after events.

Which is why having a simple, automated way of measuring ROE across all events is our goal.

And we’re well on our way there. Sales and marketing teams can now research event prospects, schedule meetings, follow-up post-event, and automatically measure ROE in one dashboard with SummitSync’s new event intelligence platform.

Are you as excited as we are? Because we’re pretty excited for the next steps in SummitSync’s journey.

Before we end this post, we really want to thank our users, mentors, investors, friends, and family over the last year who have provided immense learning opportunities and helped us discover our bigger mission of helping sales and marketing teams get more out of every event dollar.

Namaste! Ciao! Aloha!
